Edwin Flack was Australia's first Olympian & our only representative at the first Olympic Games in 1896. Flack was the first ever Olympic Champion for both 800m and 1500m. Following his Olympic success Flack returned to breed cattle & work in his family's accounting business. He did not compete in any further large athletic events.
